After you finish reading one of the Newbery Book possibilities you need to log in to our 5th Grade Mock Newbery Blog and make a comment with the current blog post about that describes that book.
Your Blog Comment needs to consider at least one of the following topics:
The theme of the story
Presentation of information including accuracy and organization
Development of the plot
Conflict and resolution
Description of characters
Suitability of the setting
Appropriateness of style
Your connection to the story
Author's craft
You should write 4 to 6 sentences. Remember to include supporting evidence from the story to back up your ideas.
Then end with an additional sentence telling whether or not you feel the book is worthy of nomination for the 2013 Newbery Award.
